What you take out
The file stays in this tab. pdf.js draws small page previews. Then pdf-lib writes the pages you asked for. A password PDF usually will not open.
I always wait for thumbnails on a 40-page statement before I click — if page 12 is the closing page, I want to see it, not guess.

Custom vs ranges vs Split All
These three buttons do different jobs. Mix them up and you download the wrong pack.
- •Custom: click thumbnails, get one PDF with only those pages.
- •Ranges: 1-3, 5 writes two files (pages 1–3, and page 5). Comma = new file. Dash = a run.
- •Split All: one PDF per page. An 80-page scan means 80 downloads.
- •Prefix the filename before you run — portals hate Split_document_page_14.pdf.
