What this page actually does
It reads selectable text and line positions, then writes a .docx. That is enough for a one-column notice or a resume. A magazine-style two-column PDF often comes out as one long column — I treat that as expected, not a bug.

When conversion fails (read this before you retry)
The yellow scanned warning is the one I see most. People still click Convert, then download an almost empty Word file and assume the tool is broken.
- •Scanned or phone-photo PDF: few extractable characters. Use PDF OCR, then convert that result.
- •Password-protected PDF: the loader throws PasswordException. Unlock PDF first.
- •File over 50 MB: rejected before parsing starts. Compress PDF, then come back.
- •Empty PDF (no pages / no text): rejected with an empty-file error.
