Cap is 100 MB. .xlsx, .xls, and .csv are fine. Charts on a dashboard tab are not drawn — only cell text. A wide sheet on A4 portrait will clip; switch to landscape first.

Share Tool:

Print a sheet without opening Excel

1

Drop a .xlsx, .xls, or .csv under 100 MB.

2

Uncheck sheets you do not want. A chart-only dashboard will come out empty-looking.

3

If the preview looks clipped, switch to landscape (or A3) and keep Fit to Width on.

4

Toggle gridlines, header highlight, and page numbers if you need them for print.

5

Convert, then open the PDF once before you attach it to email or a portal.

Sheets people lock as PDF

  • GSTR-1 working sheet locked as PDF for the CA.
  • College attendance / marks register for print.
  • Freelance invoice or rate list the client should not casually edit.
  • CSV shop price list for the counter printer.

What the PDF actually contains

SheetJS reads cell values. jsPDF draws them as a table. Comments, chart objects, and most cell colors are skipped. I learned that on a monthly P&L that had a pie chart on the first tab — the PDF had the numbers, not the chart.

You can pick sheets, paper size (A4, Letter, Legal, A3), margins, gridlines, header highlight, and page numbers. Fit-to-width squeezes columns so more of them fit; long text still ends with an ellipsis.

Wide sheets clip on A4 portrait

I dropped a hostel attendance + marks sheet with 18 columns. Portrait A4 cut off after column L. Landscape plus “Fit Table to Page Width” fixed the columns. Skinny columns still truncate long names.

  • •Default orientation is portrait. Change it before Convert.
  • •Fit to width helps; it does not magically keep every character.
  • •A3 or Legal is the next step if landscape A4 is still tight.
  • •Charts and sparklines are not drawn. Print those tabs from desktop Excel.
